Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciro Evangelista.
It’s an honor to highlight your success on our platform. Do you mind telling us about the things you’ve been able to accomplish?
Thank you for the opportunity. Many little accomplishments over the years area altogether what I believe to be the biggest accomplishment of all. Without those happy moments and also the failures that built up other opportunities I would not have reached this stage of my career. For those who are not familiar with my work yet, I am an entrepreneur designer in New York City, we specialize in Home Staging and I started my current company 10 years ago while doing diplomacy work in Washington DC.
Tell us about some of the memories you’ve made on your journey!
The best memories are really the people we meet along the way! But there was a first important turn on my career that happened back in 2006 and I was volunteering for an international summit in Brazil. I had to interview in 3 different languages a little bit over 3.000 people to work at the event and after such a long week of hard work I was given the chance to participate in a worldwide selection for an internship position at the organization president’s office in Washington DC. It sounded like an impossible dream for a small town boy like I was. But that remote possibility idea did not stop me from trying and for my biggest surprise, I got in! That internship alone changed my life, opened my eyes to understand my potential and most importantly my viewpoint of the world of opportunities.
Do you have any final thoughts you would like to share with our audience?
I am humbled to speak about my own success, because most of the time I don’t give myself credit for what I have accomplished. But I also think it is important to share these experiences to motivate others and make them believe in their own path. Working hard, sometimes pays off. Specially when you have a goal beyond the task you have to go through in the present. Only working in your present you will be able to design your future.
