A Calling to Serve High Performing Women
Many businesses begin with a market opportunity. Others begin with a calling. For Janie and Kathy, the creation of the Women’s Center for SoulCARE emerged from a deep recognition that many women are building successful businesses while quietly struggling within.
Janie believes that when the soul is strengthened, everything else becomes stronger as well. Her philosophy is simple but powerful. When people nourish their soul, they live more fully and lead more effectively.
As the spiritual director for the Zig Ziglar international community, as well as a certified Ziglar coach and trainer, Janie already had a global audience of listeners who looked to her for wisdom and spiritual guidance. Yet she carried a vision that had been quietly waiting in the background for years. At the age of fifty-eight, she returned to school to earn a master’s degree in theology, where her final thesis centered on creating a women’s center dedicated to Christ-centered SoulCARE.
Like many ideas that are ahead of their time, the concept remained dormant for a while. Life moved forward and the vision waited patiently for the right partner and the right moment.
A Partnership That Brought the Vision to Life
That moment arrived when Kathy entered the story in an unexpected way. Years ago, Kathy booked a stay at Janie’s home through Airbnb. What started as a simple visit quickly turned into a lasting friendship.
The two women soon realized that their skills complemented one another perfectly. Kathy brought strong operational and business experience from her successful real estate career. Janie brought her strengths as a teacher, speaker, and spiritual guide–as well as a business entrepreneur.
At the age of fifty eight, she returned to school and earned a master’s degree in theology. Her final thesis focused on building a women’s center devoted to SoulCARE. During this time, Janie followed through on a vision to turn her backyard space, including a hillside, into a retreat center. Like many meaningful visions, however, the idea waited patiently for the right time and the right partnership.
Together they formed a partnership where each woman focused on what she does best. Janie leads the teaching, counseling, and retreat experiences while Kathy manages the operational and administrative side of the growing organization.
Their teamwork transformed an idea into a living mission.
A Defining Moment That Sparked Growth
A pivotal turning point came less than a year ago when Kathy invited Janie to attend a networking event with her. Janie had not previously joined Kathy at these gatherings, but something told her that this time was different.
When she walked into the room, she encountered dozens of driven women from diverse industries. They were ambitious, hardworking entrepreneurs pouring their energy into building businesses and careers.
At that moment, Janie recognized something profound. Many of these women were so focused on professional success that they had little time to care for their own spiritual well being.
That realization changed everything.
From that day forward, Janie stepped outside her comfort zone and joined Kathy on the road, networking and connecting with women across the country. Their mission became clear. Help women strengthen their inner lives so they can flourish both personally and professionally.
Growing a Business With Purpose
Like many early stage businesses, visibility has been one of their biggest challenges. However, the two founders have embraced a simple principle that guides their growth. Focus on what each person uniquely brings to the table.
Janie dedicates her time to speaking, teaching, counseling, and leading retreats that guide women toward deeper clarity and faith. Kathy focuses on social media outreach, operations, and the countless details that support the organization behind the scenes.
Together they are building a community where women can find both encouragement and transformation.
A Vision for the Future
After using last year as a launching pad, the Women’s Center for SoulCARE is now stepping confidently into its next chapter.
The organization plans to host elegant faith centered retreats designed specifically for high performing women who want time for reflection and renewal. Janie is also launching a seven month MASTERrmind program for a small group of ten founding members.
Participants will journey through what Janie calls the “Sacred Path Adventure”, a spiritual framework built around her proprietary framework, Seven Sacred Signposts designed to help women navigate the challenges of life and leadership.
Alongside the MASTERmind, the Sisters of the Heart Collective gathers monthly to provide connection, support, and spiritual encouragement.
Together these initiatives reflect a growing belief that true success is not only measured by business achievements but also by the strength of the soul behind them.
