What do you do when your first business fails, you’re out of money, and you’re sleeping on a friend’s pull-out couch?
If you’re Rosie and Kit Volcano, you start again—with honesty, courage, and a decision that would reshape everything.
In 2017, the couple invested $10,000 they didn’t have into a coaching program. It was a turning point, not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually.
That leap laid the foundation for The Little Volcano Coaching and Communication, a thriving coaching brand known for empowering entrepreneurs to show up fully and build successful, values-led businesses.
From Yoga Studio to Coaching Brand
Before coaching, Rosie and Kit ran a yoga studio—born from their deep commitment to personal growth and healing through Forrest Yoga. But despite their passion, the business struggled.
“We believed that wanting to earn money made us less spiritual,” Rosie shares. “That belief held us back more than we realized.”
The studio eventually closed, leaving them financially depleted but hungry for change.
They took a risk. That coaching investment gave them tools, but more importantly, it challenged their long-held beliefs around worth, money, and visibility.
Within a year, they had their first six-figure month.
A Lesson in Acceptance and Trust
That first coaching program didn’t just shift their business. It changed their lives.
It was led by a Christian coaching team—something that initially made Rosie and Kit, as a queer couple, uneasy.
“We had avoided Christian spaces before,” Rosie says. “We assumed there would be judgment, and in turn, we carried our own.”
But early in the retreat, the lead coach, Sabastian, shared a phrase that would stay with them:
“Give them a reason to reject you, and you give them a reason to accept you.”
At the time, Kit was newly transitioning from female to male. He had a full beard but also still had breasts—an experience that often drew confusion or judgment in public.
On the second day of the retreat, Kit wore a purple leotard under his clothes—one that read “with my witches.” When the group began dancing to “I’m Sexy and I Know It,” Kit decided to reveal it.
As he removed his outer layers, the room went silent.
Then Sabastian smiled, opened his arms, and said: “Come to Daddy.”
Kit ran to him, jumped into his arms, and kissed him.
Afterward, Sabastian told the group it was the best birthday gift he could’ve received: witnessing that level of trust.
By the end of the retreat, walls had come down and preconceived notions had melted away. People who had once never knowingly met someone from the LGBTQ+ community embraced the couple with open hearts.

As Rosie puts it:
“We all learned that people are hard to hate close up.”
The power of authenticity not only transformed that room—it healed wounds and dissolved judgments on both sides. Rosie and Kit experienced firsthand how courage and vulnerability can disarm prejudice and create genuine human connection.
Building a Business with Depth
Today, The Little Volcano teaches clients how to integrate mindset work, authenticity, and strategy to grow aligned businesses.
Their coaching is built on a simple, powerful truth: your difference is your strength.
“Authenticity is what connects people,” Rosie says. “You don’t need to be like everyone else. You just need to be yourself—and take action.”
To stay grounded and avoid burnout, Rosie and Kit prioritize yoga, meditation, breathwork, and regular white space in their schedules. It’s not just what they teach—it’s how they live.
Looking Forward
As they look to the future, Rosie and Kit are expanding their reach through books, podcast appearances, and larger live events. But their mission remains the same:
To help people stop hiding, start healing, and step fully into who they are—both in life and in business.
