Creating More Ways for Emerging Leaders to Connect
South Florida is filled with young professionals building careers, launching businesses, and looking for meaningful ways to become more involved in their communities. The Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce is creating a new avenue for those connections through NextGen.
Designed for professionals under 40, the Chamber owned initiative will officially kick off with the NextGen YPN Launch Party on September 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
South Florida native Kimani Lee is stepping into a leadership role to support, organize, and help pioneer the series. His involvement centers on helping the Chamber bring emerging professionals into closer conversation with business owners, elected officials, and community leaders.
Turning Introductions Into Relationships
Professional networking is useful when the connections continue after the room clears.
That longer view is part of what Lee hopes to support through his involvement with NextGen. By helping organize the series within the Chamber, he is working to create opportunities for professionals from different industries and levels of experience to meet, exchange ideas, and develop relationships that have room to grow.
The Chamber provides an established foundation for those conversations. NextGen gives younger professionals a more focused entry point into that community.
For Lee, supporting the series means helping connect ambitious professionals with people who understand the region, have built businesses within it, serve in public office, or contribute to its civic life.
Bringing Professional Experience Into Community Leadership
Lee’s involvement with the Chamber reflects a broader pattern in his career.
Born and raised in Broward County, he has worked across financial education and real estate and currently serves as a Mortgage Loan Advisor with Level Mortgage LLC. In that role, he helps Florida buyers better understand mortgage financing and approach homeownership with greater preparation.
His work has consistently involved making complex decisions easier to understand. His leadership role supporting NextGen applies that same instinct in a different setting.
Here, the focus is connection.
By helping pioneer and organize the Chamber’s new series, Lee is contributing to an effort that can give professionals under 40 stronger ties to South Florida’s established business and civic community.
The September 25 launch is the first step. What follows will depend on the relationships built through the Chamber and the people who choose to become part of them.
