Fifteen years can change the scale of a law practice. The more interesting question is whether growth changes the reason it exists.
For E. Nathan Harris, founder of Abogados Centro Legal, the answer appears to be no.
Harris founded his practice in 2010 and rebuilt and renamed it in 2015. Since then, the Hoover, Alabama firm, legally Harris & Associates Law, LLC, has developed around bilingual personal injury and immigration representation, with a particular focus on Hispanic and immigrant families.
Over that period, the firm has recovered more than $50 million for clients.
The Human Side of Access
Legal access is sometimes discussed as a question of whether representation is available. Harris’s work points to another consideration: whether people feel capable of using it.
A client who does not fully understand the language being used may hesitate to ask questions. Someone worried about immigration consequences may approach even an unrelated legal matter cautiously. Cultural differences can influence how comfortable a person feels speaking openly with an attorney.
Those circumstances are familiar territory at Abogados Centro Legal.
The firm’s bilingual model is designed to reduce some of the distance between attorney and client. It also reflects Harris’s belief that representation for immigrant families requires an awareness of the broader circumstances surrounding a case.
That mission has remained visible as the firm’s results and Harris’s profile have grown.
Recognition With a Longer Story Behind It
In November 2025, Harris was again selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys.
“It’s an honor to be recognized once again among the nation’s leading trial lawyers,” Harris said. “This acknowledgment reflects our team’s commitment to standing up for those who might otherwise be overlooked, especially immigrant families who face cultural and systemic barriers in accessing justice.”
The recognition joins a longer list. Harris received Rising Stars honors from 2019 through 2024 and Super Lawyers recognition in 2025 and 2026. He was named to The National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 in 2017 and Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2024.
His career has also expanded geographically. Harris is admitted to practice in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia.
Measuring What Endures
There is another measure of growth emerging now.
After serving as Treasurer of the Alabama Association for Justice from 2025 to 2026, Harris was elected Secretary for the 2026 to 2027 term. His current leadership progression puts him on track to become the association’s president in 2030.
That trajectory takes Harris from representing individual clients to assuming greater responsibility within Alabama’s legal community.
Yet his firm remains rooted in Hoover and in the population it was built to serve.
For a practice entering its next stage, that continuity matters. Fifteen years of growth have expanded the reach and results of Abogados Centro Legal. The original problem Harris set out to address, making legal representation more understandable and accessible for people who can easily feel overlooked, still gives that growth its direction.
